So we’re all fully aware that the UK are in lockdown along with other countries too, however that doesn’t stop me from creating goals for the month ahead. I like the idea of creating posts down to my goals so that it’s always something I can read back on. I read my own blog when I am looking for more inspiration from my own work. So as you can probably guess, not much happening but here’s what I have set myself..
01. Focus on blogging. I have dipped in and out of blogging for so many years but I want this one to stick. There’s no pressure to say how much I need to post but I am setting myself the goal of at least once a week / every two. I enjoy creating content and writing down anything. It can be a diary entry, a memorable moment or trip, and even a little advise here and there. I have a few idea’s set in place and here’s my first one to fully kick it off. Creating a monthly goals post means I will at least post once a month I guess. So expect to see more writing from me and also adding in new blog posts to my Instagram stories so hopefully you guys can have a little read.
02. Facetime/Zoom more with family and friends. If we didn’t have our phones and laptops to get to see our family and friends during this difficult time – I don’t know what I’d do. I love checking in with them all and seeing how everyone is, whilst still seeing their faces. At least seeing my family and friends weekly through FaceTime means it won’t be such a shock to them when I come out of lockdown 2 stone heavier!
03. Less phone nights whilst being with Lee. Aren’t we all constantly upping our screen time? When we’re waiting for the kettle to boil or the adverts to scoot on from interrupting our favourite TV series, we head for our phones. My screen time is going up and down like a yoyo, but spending quality time with Lee whilst being in lockdown isn’t being spent well enough. So no phone nights mean we can get stuck into a film, enjoy a lovely dinner together, play games and have some drinks. I’m lucky enough to have company during this time so why not use it wisely.
04. Up my fitness and get back into slimming world. It’s not for everyone but I don’t see slimming world as a diet, I see it as a life change like everyone says but it’s true. I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again. I was eating healthy, I was working out and my mental health was a whole lot better. I enjoyed getting some exercise into my day and I’ve recently gotten into doing a little yoga. Wow. Yoga is helping me with my mental health during lockdown and it’s something that really works I believe. My skin was amazing as I eating less chocolate, cake and biscuits with every cuppa tea. So that’s what I’ll be focusing on for a month solidly and then will continue to keep that lifestyle change.
Have you thought about your monthly goals for May?
