HI GUYS! TAYLOR HERE.
You, as reader are probably a little bit like me in some way.

We love think pieces of writing, which is also relatable.
We also may have in common things for books.
I never use to be a reader myself, but that's something I'm introducing to my 2019.

April should be full of chocolate for Easter, but I was just here for the hot cross buns ~ NGL. Forget the bunny, someone give me a hot cross bun man.( Preferably a hot one too.) April has granted me with putting an offer on a house and being accepted, it's given me inspiration to blog a little more than expected, it's allowed me to fall in love with running again. I've joined the gym but also ditched the gym as I prefer running and listening to the world rather than someone panting on a machine next to me. (Or that could be the sound of myself that creates that awful sound.)
I've also learnt a lot in April to do with many of things, and I feel like if this whole house business goes down well, it's certainly the beginning of a new chapter for me. Not only for my partner and I, but for myself. I needed this more than the world.

So I'm just going to share many of photos below, which didn't reach the gram..

~ When Mumma Mel comes home and she buys you some Tulips. (Some of you may know very well that they aren't doing so well. Lol. I'm rubbish with plants/flowers.) Aren't we all though? ~

~ Weekends at the pubs with friends and family ~

~ I truly swear by this quote this month ~

~ You need a some H&M joggers in your life. Only £9.99 too ~

~ Taking photos and playing around with a cool app called Huji. ~

~ I secretly hate people taking my photos, even more so when the Mr doesn't tell me if they're any good or not. Or whether the lighting is very good, or whether I look as fat as I feel after eating a burger big enough for two. ~

~ Shooting outfits and waiting for people to walk on by so we can use my favourite wall for photos. Lol. Typical. ~

~ Bank holiday Monday spent at Winchester, strolling through the streets. Dipping in and out of coffee shops and eating the best burger ever at Pitcher & Piano. (I highly recommend you go there.) ~

~ Lastly, I squeezed back into this old skirt, Slimming world helped me do this. I'm a whole lot happier, but still got a few lbs I want to loose to feel better in the clothing size I am. I've got two big wedding's coming up this year. I need to look good.
P.S Soz about the socks, I was happy with this and I had to share it with you. ~

Put your money into your accessories
You could create a million different looks.

Accessories are a girls best friend. They finish off every outfit whether it's a handbag or a pair of earrings. Patch Butcher earrings in mind. All the stores are bringing out the pearl hair clips, with Asos even bringing out the colourful butterfly clips that we all had in our hair at the age of 7. Click here, I ain't lying.

I personally had hair clips in my hair always, and sometimes more than five of them. If it's possible to do so at the age of twenty five - I'd give it a good try and hopefully get away with it. The three accessories that I can't stop wearing are hair clips, earrings and headbands. (Handbags too, but hey they aren't photographed in this blog post.)

So I'm going to share my Wishlist for accessories, because we all need them in our jewellery boxes, handbags or even spread across the bedroom and it's floor. (How I store my accessories. Lol.)

Wishlist at the ready :

hair accessories, sunglasses, jewellery and possibly a little layering..

hair heros and jazzy jewellery

Considering this is my first book that I've picked up this year and read it till the end without being on holiday, is a sign in itself. Never have I ever, (oops that rings a bell) read a book where I actually felt like highlighting different points as I was going along. Basically the idea was to highlight them, and then go back when I needed telling about how to be a grown up. I'm classed as an adult at 25 years old, and I still don't fully understand how to act 'grown up'.

1. How to love myself & feel more confident | Learn to work with the body that you have got and go from there, instead of hoping that looking in the mirror 'this time round' will give you the reflection of the girl you just stalked on Instagram. Ignoring sizes on clothing doesn't define you in anyway. It doesn't matter if it's got size 24 or size 4 on the tag. I like to remind myself that I can be three different sizes in the same shop, on the same day. Sometimes I also like to take time and carefully apply my make up which makes me feel even better. Like Daisy ~ she likes to apply her favourite scented body lotion (I'm jealous because hello eczema won't allow me) and just enjoying how soft her skin feels.

2. How to be healthy ~ mind and body | Doing positive things can be more important than you think. Just by eating your recommend 'five a day' or more, reading a few chapters or one, dancing to the radio or the all important Alexa. Even having a bubble bath or a shower where you just stand directly under the running water and take in how it's trickling down your body. I've started to put my phone away on week day evenings. Since reading how Daisy puts her phone on airplane mode between 10pm til 7am to get some down time, really stood out to me. I feel pressured to keep up with social media and reply to text messages as I'm sat down, relaxing for the evening. However, relaxing never really came part of my evenings because I could never fully switch off. Like Daisy says ~ 'Twitter might be the social network that never sleeps, but I need to'.

3. Being sad doesn't mean it's a bad thing | How often are we happy compared to sad? For me, I can say at the minute it's 60/40. (40% being sad.) Writing things down can help, doesn't have to be ever read after writing - but it can release feelings and allow you to process. Going for a walk fixes quite a lot of things too. Headaches, feeling sad, time out with your fluffy pal, getting extra steps in from your Fitbit. Taking in fresh air and just focusing on the sounds and sights you have around you is as cliche as it sounds - 'a breathe of fresh air'. Plus like Daisy said, when surrounded on a field of dogs - how can you feel sad?

4. Being jealous can mean you need a bit more love | Instead of chasing achievements and trying to be at the same level as everyone else in their own lives. Sometimes you need to focus on the fact that you're just as good as them. As Daisy says 'I'm enough if I exist just as I am.' Nobody is you and that is something that will never be taken away from you either. If you find how to love yourself, you will find that people will be jealous. Confidence is key, but that doesn't mean you have to walk out of the front door ready to take on the world. It means putting on your favourite fragrance which relates to a happy, ass-kicking time, which will help hold your head a little higher.

5. Made a mistake, sleep then deal with it | This has saved me most recently. When we freak-out and make tiny breathless panics in attempt to fix the problem, it's usually better to sleep on it or to sit down with a cuppa and a whole pack of custard creams. (Daisy says Hob Nobs, but I'm a sucker for custard creams.) When making mistakes too, tell someone straight away. You may not tell the person who could potentially tell you off. Instead, tell your Mum because if anything at the age of 25 the only person who can tell you off for making a mistake is your Mum. And 90% of the time, your Mums always right. They tell you from the age of five that they are, which sadly means they still are at twenty five. And probably at fifty five too.

5 Top Tips I Learned From How To Be A Grown Up By Daisy Buchanan

One thing in my mid twenties have taught me is that you experience with make up a whole lot less. I mean I'd always be open to sitting at the beauty counters and getting pampered, and my make up done. But at the same time, the chances of me walking away with a whole new make up bag is unlikely.

I've got a make up routine that I am happy with and I feel benefits my skin. So I'm going to get down with business on every product and why I'm a always repurchasing. Again and again.

For my base I've become overly obsessed with the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. I use the shade Light, which I am a pale type of girl but I need a little tan/colour to my skin. I find it's full coverage for my skin, it gives me a glow and hydrates my skin whilst having SPF 50. Just a couple (for less coverage) and three pumps for (evening full coverage) ~ a little goes a loongggg way. It also keeps to being full coverage over time. I'm also very interested in trying the other two CC Creams. The matte coverage and also illumination to see the three compared to each other. But I'll hype this up to everyone as this is the first foundation that I have used for the longest amount of time. (Trust me, I'm normally using three types at different times.) But this is the one and only the one I use.

Then to add a little more colour to my complexion, I like to use the Maybelline Master Bronzer & Highlight Palette. (Highlight not so much, bronzer yes.) I use the three darker shades, mainly the two centred shades. It blends out really well, you can either use this as a bronzer palette or even a contour. I must admit this won't be for everyone as there is only four shades to pick from, but you can build up the product for the perfect shade and coverage. This has lasted me many of months too as instead of one you have a few shades to choose from.

That is just my base. Small and simple, but I like to add more bold to my lip and lashes.

For my eyes, I like to use the Smashbox single eye shadow in the shade Nude. I've come to terms with not all shades will suit my eyes and look. Browns are more my 'thang'. I like to keep my eyes simple with this shadow, and even a little shimmer from the Becca Après Ski Glow Palette palette for a little more 'party' look. These shades don't crease, they glide on your lids just as good with your finger as a brush. They blend beautifully too. It's not so easy to get your hands on but for shimmers, they're highly pigmented which is a winner. *Of course.*
Then my lashes I am loving the IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara. I was highly persuaded by Chloe Plumstead when she shared what mascara she uses. At first I wasn't convinced, however now I've transferred my everyday mascara. It gives volume to my lashes and enhances the length. The formula is buildable for a more bolder make up look, but you can also use a little amount for a more natural lashes. Whilst building up the product, there is no flaking and no clumps. I've finally found a mascara that benefits my make up.

Then lastly for the all important brows. I've been using the L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper. This is my only brow product. I'm all for the fluffy eye brow look. A lot of you comment on my brows and this is my answer! Just combing through the brows, makes them fuller and gives them shape. Leaves them looking natural and the brush is the perfect size for my brows. (A lot of brow products with combs are far too big for my brows.) This one is the perfect size.

My make up routine is that simple and short. I can get ready in the time frame of ten minutes, but I also can add a little more 'vavoom' for the special nights out and them days where effort is more capable.

Just add a red bold lip (my favourite go to at the mo) and boom ~ I'm ready in a flash.
