5 To Try This Month

When it comes to beauty and the whole skincare routine to your make up, I’ve become pretty basic. I know what I like and I will just buy the same over and over again. Before, I’d always be the one who would always be buying and trying new things. But now I like to stick to what I know. I may try out a new perfume or a new cleanser to my usual ones, but with mascara’s I’m always trying out new ones. It’s the only product that I forever rotate with my trusty ones to new ones.

As it’s been a while since I’ve told you about new products I’ve been trying and testing. This is where I thought it was over due with a few mini reviews.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

This mascara I’ve seen Chloe Plumstead use over and over again, so of course I had to see what the hype is about. When I see a blogger forever use the same brand of products or an individual product, I have to see for myself. (Probably more of an excuse to give it a go and buy it to be honest. Lol) So the wand for this mascara is a perfect size, not too chunky and not too hard for the lashes. It gives enough product to the lashes without any clumpy spider leg lashes. (We’ve all experienced this growing up). Once applied it dries quite quickly so there is no mascara stains on the under eye, it lasts all day and gives plenty of volume. You can build up the mascara as you go. I sometimes build it up to around 3/4 times for my eyes to seriously pop. I mean, wow. There is still no clumps.

L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper

This a product I’ve been using for the last 6 to 8 months, but recently I switched for the lighter shade for my lighter hair. If you’re like me and love the fluffy brows look, then this is your answer. You only need to use a small amount and I always start off on the outer section of my brows. I like to thicken the product on the ends of my brows and then drag it through to my inner. This way it brings a gorgeous natural brow, instead of going full force from start to finish. But hey, if you’re not a fluffy brow type of girl – this can still work for you. Once you’ve applied the product along your brows, you can use the very tip to shape. I have had many compliments on my brows before, and it’s all down to this special wand.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

Never heard of this? I didn’t either, until I came across it on someones instagram story. You wouldn’t be finding this in the beauty section, it’s over in the pharmacy section in Boots. But if you’re looking for a cleanser which is super kind to the skin, this has answered all your prayers and wishes. It’s gentle on the skin and non-irritating. It is suitable for you sensitive and dry skin suckers like myself, and it feels like you’ve had a little facial after use. The soap free formula removes dirt, make up and other impurities without drying out the skin. It gives all the moisture your skin has been missing out on. It leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth and healthy. It can suit all of you who prefer to use water with your cleansers or for those of you who are lazy like me, and just want to be quick with a cotton pad.

REN Ever calm Overnight Recovery Balm

If you were one of those who said ‘yes’ when I said your skin may need some moisture that your skin is missing. THIS. This, right here is you bloody answer. The intense moisture and nourish this product gives your skin is like a recovery. You apply this in your evening skincare routine, and whilst your sleeping – you’re skin is hydrating from naught to a hundred. The texture is light, not greasy but a wet formula without any stick. (How that works, I don’t know but that’s how I’d describe it.)

But having that it’s a super wet formula, means that a little goes a long way. I like to basically treat my skin to this when it’s looking a little dull, I give myself a little facial massage with this until it’s fully absorbed. I wake up to my skin feeling fresh, replenished and hydrated. It works well with sensitive skin, but like I said I only use this as a treat for my skin. For example, I’m a girl whose hanging on a Sunday right now so this is needed for this evenings skincare routine. You get me?

Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream

This moisturiser is perfect alone or even as a primer. Everything I said about the REN overnight recovery balm, this is like your day time version. You only need a small amount dotted around your face, and then you just massage the luxury formula in until it’s fully absorbed. Its non-greasy and it doesn’t dry out my skin, it just hydrates and gives a soft and smooth texture. Perfect alone or as your base. If you’d like to hear about some more Dermalogic products then just click here, and I maybe able to help.

That’s my favourite five at the moment, and five you need to add to your next Boots/Beauty shop.

What products are you loving at the moment? Old or new.

I’ve always loved your brows, NOW I KNOW HOW TO ACHIEVE THEM!!! So happy right now aha. I want fuller brows. It’s good to not over complicate your day anymore than needed so I like the idea of only having a few products we can often get so consumed with. Buying all the latest products when really, do we need them? Will we use them? Is it worth it?

    Much love
