If you didn’t know already then I went away on holiday and visited World Duty Free ~ of course.
World Duty Free is literally the best way to start any holiday/trip. Wasting time just snooping the isles and seeing what’s new is far better than sitting around for your flight. I like to have a good look through it all, not just the beauty. I’m such a sucker for picking myself up a white Toblerone if I must admit.
Whenever I go away, I always pick up a new fragrance as it saves having to pack one and a good excuse to buy a new one. Everything else just was an added extra of I want it, but I didn’t need it.
So here’s what I picked up..
For starters the Givenchy Lip Balm. I was lucky enough to receive a Givenchy Lip Balm within my Latest in Beauty Subscription box, and since then I’ve loved it. I originally had the Lip Balm in the shade 02 Intense Pink, and I’ve used it everyday since I got the beauty box through the post. Once applied, it’s like a lip stain. It stays all day and is so worth under £25 with World Duty Free. So because of the love for this lip balm, I also picked up the shade 03 Sparkling Pink. This is the perfect shade for a holiday. It shimmers in the sunlight and goes gorgeous with tanned skin. I could not recommend these enough for an everyday lipstick, it’s super pigmented but looks natural. Giving enough colour to make you feel dolled up, but it doesn’t feel like you have anything on the lips. It’s long lasting – I never reapply this throughout the day.
Next up I picked up a Jo Malone fragrance which is the Peony & Blush Suede. Everyone has this, and I’ve got a Jo Malone fragrance already and knew I had to give this a smell. It’s very light and floral along with a juicy bite of red apple. The floral comes from rose, jasmine and gillyflower. It’s luxurious and seductive as described from Jo Malone. It’s going to one of those perfumes the are for occasions, not for just popping down to the local Co – Op.
The next two I was luckily (and I appreciate this massively and am forever grateful) gifted by World Duty Free themselves. I took both of these away with me, and I’m honestly in love with the both of them.
So first up we have the Urban Decay De Slick setting spray which is for those oily skin. I’m very much 50/50 with oily skin. I have it, but it’s only within certain areas. (T-ZONE I’m talking to you.) So this is for controlling oily skin, and keeping it looking beautifully matte. However, for me – the matte effect didn’t work for me. When I was away it actually gave my skin a dewy look. Whether that was down to how hot it may have been, and you know – is it sweat or is it the glow? That type of look. BUT – my make up stayed all in place and it really made my skin look alive with the glow. I wouldn’t class the glow as shiny, it was glowing.
Lastly I also got the Givenchy Live Irrésistible Travel Exclusive Set. This includes the fragrance itself which is 75ml, the body cream which is also 75ml and a coral studded pouch. This perfume smells amazing and is perfect for the summery months. AND FOR HOLIDAY. The bottle is beautiful, and what comes with it is well worth the the £64.00 price tag. The fragrance is a spicy, floral scent which is perfect for the A/W transitioning. The spice brings in the autumn type of scents, along with keeping hold of the floral. The body cream of course, is the exact same as the fragrance which just means you smell even more divine. Along with the pouch which makes a good handbag essential, to keep hold of any loose bits and bobs. (I used this everyday on holiday for my phone in my beach bag.)
So that’s everything that I picked up/was gifted at World Duty Free. Jo Malone have just recently released a new fragrance which is, Honeysuckle and Davana. It smells incredible, and is going to my next Jo Malone purchase. (Which is also available at World Duty Free!) I’m also *finger crossed* that Givenchy release a whole lot more shades for their lip balms, as I want it in every shade possible.
Have you been away this year, and picked anything up from World Duty Free?
