Hello guys and girls.
From moving to more Fashion than Beauty on my blog and Instagram – my make up routine has become pretty basic. I’ve stopped buying the new in palettes and stopped buying for the sake of it. I now use the same products over and over, and once in a while add in a new product to trial. So here’s what products I use and for what –
For my foundation I use the IT Cosmetics CC Cream in the shade Light. I’ve been using this on the go for the last couple of months, and I’ve been loving it. It’s light weight on the skin but the coverage is far by amazing. It leaves my skin looking flawless and natural. There’s no heaviness and it includes your must have SPF. From my foundation, I go straight onto my bronzer. I am loving the Maybelline Bronzing Palette. This includes four different shades, and they all include a subtle shimmer. This shimmer doesn’t look drastic at all, it just gives a healthy glow to your skin. Along with my bronzer, I use the L’Oreal Life’s A Peach Blush. This gives a gorgeous warm, summer glow. I think this is something that I will be changing next in my make up bag as Autumn is approaching.
For my eyes, I recently bought two Smash Box Eyeshadows. I’ve got the two shades Hazelnut and Nude. Hazelnut is a very dark brown which I like to apply in my crease to create a more smokey eye look, without being too heavy. Nude is a light shade which is perfect for a base for your shadow, or even just for a natural look. These two together look gorgeous on brown eyes. Along with these two shades, I have been trialing out the BBB London Smokey Kajal Eyeliner. On one end of the product, you have the eyeliner pencil, then on the other end is the sponge to create a smokey liner look. It’s a pretty dark brown shade, but looks really nice with the two shadows.
Then for my lashes, I’ve been switching between two mascaras. These are the L’Oreal Unlimited Mascara and L’Oreal False Lash Telescopic. So the Unlimited Mascara is a newest to the L’Oreal family, and it’s different from all the rest. So this wand actually bends so you can change angles to reach all lashes. I’d say the wand is medium in the thickness and it applies so nicely onto the lashes. You can build up the mascara to give a more out there look, which I’m very into. Where my make up look is pretty simple, I want my lashes to stand out. It’s a non-clumpy formula, but it does give volume to your lashes as well as lengthens. For the False Lash Telescopic, this is the total opposite to Unlimited. This has no special bendy affect to it and neither is the brush very thick. This is one of the thinest mascara wands I’ve ever used, but its’ good. It gives your lashes length, and this is what is so good about it. Your lashes really look false, but in a good way. This mascara is clump free, and picks up every individual lash. This is my go to for a more natural make up look.
Moving onto your brows. This is where I’d normally talk about the Glossier Boy Brow, but I’ve found something even cheaper and easier to get hold of. Plus it’s just as good. So I’ve been using the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in the shade medium/dark. This is how I create those fluffy eyebrows, and it’s such a super easy way of giving your brows the more filled in look. Plus, I think they still look natural. The wand for the Brow Plumper is a lot bigger than Glossier Boy Brow, but do not let this put you off. You just to apply a lot more gently. It doesn’t leave your brows sticky, it dries pretty quickly and lasts all day.
Finally for my lips I’ve been obsessed with the Givenchy Lip Balm in the shade 02 Intense Pink. From the luxury packaging to the duration of this lip balm is insane. This has been my go to with make up or without. I’ve used it every single day and I want more of them. It’s long lasting and keeps your lips moisturised. It’s everything you’d want in a lipstick. Light on the lips, keeping them looking hydrated and lasting all day.
So that’s my current make up routine, and this will be my holiday make up too.
