Finding new beauty products to play around with and to include within your make up routine is always fun to me. I love to trial out new products and whether they work for me or not.
A lot of you may know that I actually had an incident with my skin where it came out in an eczema rash. I don’t know what caused this to come on as I had it before venturing out to Italy for a Wedding, but it came out worse over time whilst being away. Ever since, I’ve had to be careful with what products I use on my skin : make up and skincare. I’ve had to go basic with my skincare and go light with the make up, so I’ve put together some new found favourites which work for my skin.
What I’m Loving..
First up for skincare, I’m currently using Simple where it’s kind to the skin and I’ve forever relied on Simple skincare for my sensitive skin. Your skin could feel sensitive for what ever reasons : stress, pollution, change of weather, lack of sleep and more. All products are free from any artificial perfumes, artificial colourants, and alcohol. So I’m using the Simple micellar cleansing water, the hydrating light moisturiser and the night cream. A full review coming soon, but to sum these two up..
The micellar water absorbs a lot of make up to the cotton pad and leaves the skin feeling clean and smooth. Not only does it remove make up, it also removes any dirt on the skin and leaves the skin with the perfect canvas for a morning routine. Then the hydrating light moisturiser does exactly what it says, and leaves my skin looking hydrated, plumped and also smooth and soft. It’s lightweight on the skin and is very fast on absorbing, so this also makes a good primer for any foundation application. A little gos a long way so this is something that is very much worth the money.
Next up is this beautiful Maybelline master bronze palette, which in fact I didn’t purchase for the bronzing side of make up but for my eyes. It makes the most gorgeous bronzed eyeshadow look to bring out your sun kissed skin. You can create a simple smokey eye look using these products with the lightest being a highlighter it’s perfect for the inner corners. You have four different shades which are perfect for matching to many skin tones, and it gives a gorgeous shimmer for that sunlight to catch onto.
Then for the blush I’ve been using the L’Oreal life’s a peach blush powder, which I must say smells incredible. Not only does this give a gorgeous peach tone to your skin, it also gives the glow too. It’s a blush and highlighter in one product and it’s become my go to for my make up routine. It looks very natural and is pigmented enough to build up the colour to what you like. I think this would suit many skin tones where you can add and add without it looking cakey or out of place.
Lastly for the lips I’ve been loving L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine Lipsticks and this one in particular. This is in the shade 245 High Craze and this is perfect to team up with the Peach Blush. It gives a gorgeous shine to your lips and it’s also really nourishing on the lips. If you prefer a lip gloss effect on your lips but without all the stickiness then these are a must have in your make up bag. Gloss is becoming more popular this summer, so say goodbye to the matte and hello to the shine. All I will say is where it is gloss based, you have to reapply a lot through the day, but it’s so hydrating for the lips I use it like a lip balm so my lips don’t dry out.
That’s my current favourites, what comes in your top 5 for your favourites?
