Last week I went to my first Body Shop event in Southampton, West Quay. Of course I picked up some bits I use continuously and also some newbies. I really love The Body Shop skincare, it’s amazing with sensitive skin and the results are always good news. They’re most famous for their body butters, with the gorgeous range of scents ~ I can totally understand why. I was really tempted to purchase the Mango scented Body Butter but I’m going to leave that for my next purchase. I’m all for their Vitamin E range as it’s super delicate on the skin and really gentle. I’m also introducing you to some of their new products which are new releases and seriously, The Body Shop has not disappointed me and neither will you.
So here’s what I picked up..
Drops Of Light Liquid Peel | So when I was in store, I saw this and tried it on the back of my hand and OH MY. So of course you apply it to your face and gently rub it in and before you know it ~ any dead skin peels off. It’s suppose to brighten the skins appearance after use, and leaves the texture refined. It’s really gentle on the skin and works just as good for sensitive skin, I am so excited to continuously use this as it’s so so satisfying at the same time. Hello to smooth skin and the perfect canvas for your make up routine.
Vitamin E Night Cream | This is something that I’ve used over and over again. It’s again super gentle on the skin and replenishes the skin with moisture. It’s hydrating and leaves my skin incredibly soft and smooth. This is suitable for all skin types, even for dry skin as it just nourishes and refreshes the skin. It absorbs really nicely into the skin without any oily/sticky layer, so it’s the perfect night cream before tucking up into bed.
Vitamin E Sleeping Mask | I love the Vitamin E range, and I love a mask. So between evenings of using the night cream, I’m going to mix it up with the sleeping mask. Instead of the night cream, this alternative is more gel based. Its intense with moisture and leaves the skin with intense hydration. It’s really similar to the night cream, but the fact that you can leave this on and it impacts your skin overnight with hydration ~ you’ll be waking up like a ray of sunshine. Where it’s more gel based too, it’ll be super refreshing on the skin and leave your skin feeling clean and fresh and ready for bed.
Almond Milk Body Yogurt | A product new to the Body Shop. They’ve introduced these body yogurts! There are a wide variety of scents, but Almond Milk is my favourite. It’s not a heavy scent, and not over powering. It’s really light on the skin, and this because it’s suppose to dry and soak into the skin within 15 seconds. It provides 48 hours of moisture onto the body, and is 100% vegan. I love the idea of this, as I’m a huge sucker of missing out on moisturising the skin because I haven’t got time to just sit about and wait for it to sink into the skin ~ this is quick and easy and perfect for a quick morning routine. The other scents are : Mango, Moringa, British Rose and Strawberry.
Rose Dewy Glow Facial Spray | Another product new to the range. At this time of writing this, they don’t seem to have the product on their website. However, the ladies at the event did say that this and the yogurt is brand new to their store and no one else has seen or tried these. So let me just tell you ~ they’ve got four different face mists to choose from this Rose one, a strawberry scented mist, a coconut and mandarin. I picked the Rose mist because the glow it’s meant to give. These mists don’t act as setting sprays but they are make up friendly. This is going to be very useful for Italy and this is why I picked up this mist, for the dewy, healthy looking glow.
White Musk Fragrance Mist & Shower Gel | Two we got free for spending over a certain amount in store, and I’m all for a freebie or two. The fragrance mist is light and refreshing, it has floral and fruity notes which smells amazing. You have notes of rose, jasmine, and pear. This would make a perfect fragrance mist for on the go, however it is a glass bottle and I’m not so delicate with my bag when it comes to being rushed or out and about. Although, I do have the shower gel to add a little more scent to my skin. I love the scent and am excited to try this out for bubbles in the bath as you know – I can’t always afford Lush Bath Bombs and shower gel just create as good bubbles *inserts shrugged shoulder emoji here*.
That’s my little haul for you all.
