I keep up touching up on skincare here, on Taylor Jane and that’s because skincare is the most important routine for better skin. Cleansing your skin is the best way to start, without this step impurities will cling to your skin and also any dead skin cells will just build up over time. It’ll block your pores and result to breakouts, dry patches and dullness. Your skin won’t be able to produce sebum which is your skins natural conditioner. Whether you double cleanse or you don’t – just add it into your skincare routine.

I use to think that micellar water and even make up wipes done the trick, but it doesn’t. Cleanse your skin and remove with a make up pad and you’ll see what you have still after thinking it’s ‘clean’.

So I’ve got five cleansers I switch between, and here’s why I love them..

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil | This is an oil based facial cleanser which melts your make up away. So of course, this is my PM cleanser. When the Cleansing Oil is mixed with water it then turns into a cleansing milk, when you rinse. This is ideal for skin types ~ normal/combination. I love the cleanser comes with a pump, so it makes it easy to add more onto your skin without making too much of a mess. The only problem with this, is the bottle does leak when it’s on it’s side and there’s no lock on it. I’m left with clean/refreshed skin and sometimes I like to double cleanse along with the Garnier Cleansing Milk.

Caudalie Make Up Removing Cleansing Oil | Another cleanser for the PM, and another cleanser which melts away your make up and any impurities. It’s super gentle on the skin and also on the eyes. It nourishes the skin without leaving any greasy film over the skin. It melts away make up and any dirt within minutes, and I like to continuously rub this into the skin until I think it’s time to wash away. I like to remove this with a clean face cloth, and before you know it – your skin is left looking clean and fresh.

Garnier Skin Active Soothing Cleansing Milk | A cleanser I’ve used repeatedly for years now. I like to use this as a second cleanse within my skincare routine, when I think my skin needs it. This is a cream based cleanser where there’s no mess and you just allow it to soak into your skin. It leaves my skin feeling super soft, and the rose scent is gorgeous. It’s so refreshing and soothing on the skin, which is the perfect way to finish off your cleansing routine. It’s so affordable too, as it’s forever on deal between Boots and Superdrug. (The toner is a winner too FYI.)

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser | One of the newest cleansers to the collection, and this is for my ¬†AM routine. It’s soothing on the skin, and is really refreshing for a full day ahead. It leaves my skin feeling soft, refreshed and hydrated. It’s gentle on the skin and the eyes and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry – only nourished.

Caudalie Foam Cleanser | Another one for my AM skincare routine. I have normal skin with an oily t zone, and this helps keep everything at bay and doesn’t cause any problems. It’s the perfect morning wake up call, and it’s comfortable around the eyes too, no irritation. I also suffer with sensitive skin and this is super friendly to my skin, it leaves my skin looking clean and radiant. Perfect for a morning canvas for a day full of events and make up.

I love the Fine Flowers cleansing duo by L’Oreal, gel and tonic, they are both soft and hydrating. I would love to try the Glossier Milky cleanser though!

I must admit since I started using the glossier in the morning rather than at night I have been enjoying it so much more! I love the DHC for taking off makeup though it is AWESOME!
