When it comes to everyday make up, mascara is the only product I use mid week. I work with a lot of my family, and there’s only the odd bloke who walks in throughout the day and I just don’t put my money into my make up collection for it to be used for nobody to see it.
Although, applying mascara is a must. If I don’t then I look like a sleep walking monster.
I’ve gone through mascaras like nobody’s business. You can never have too many, and you can never go through too many. There’s always them four factors you are looking for within a mascara ~ volume, length, bold and curve. Volume for obviously the power of the mascara, length for your lashes to get longer, bold for them to stand out and curve for them to look ~ oh, so natural.
Too Faced Better Than Sex | Let’s start off by saying.. packaging? Holy moly. *Love heart eyes emoji* I love the pink, bold packaging. Moving onto the wand – it’s the perfect shape for a mascara, it’s like an hourglass shape. You have the two bulky ends but a thin middle to get every lash. This makes my lashes volumised, gives length and makes a statement within my make up look. I use one or two coasts using this mascara, as a lot goes a long way. It doesn’t go clumpy what so ever, and it lasts all day long. Smudge proof too. *Tick*
L’Oreal Paradise | Another mascara with gorgeous packaging, I remember being so excited when this hit the UK, the whole collection in fact. I’ve tried a numerous amount of L’Oreal mascaras and this has to be my favourite so far. Although, the wand isn’t my favourite. I feel like you have to be a lot more careful when applying this mascara where it’s a straight wand with no shape. I don’t feel like this gives as much as the Better Than Sex mascara, however it’s perfect for everyday and going to work. Also, I love to use this on my bottom lashes than the top. Anyone else ever experience this with a mascara?
Maybelline Lash Sensational | My most favourite factor of this mascara is the wand. This is the mascara that they describe on the TV adverts as the ~ *One brush stroke mascara.* It fits perfectly to all my lashes, and within one stroke you can already see a difference. I like to layer up this mascara, as it just clasps all lashes and really gives volume. You can build and build without any clumping, it just makes your lashes look full. Better than those falsies.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir | My most recent tested out mascara. The wand is something that put me off straight away with first impressions, as I was sent this on complimentary by Influenster. However, this wand didn’t disappoint the product as a whole. This has became my everyday mascara. All the bristles reach every lash, and it’s perfect for top and bottom lashes. It gives the whole package ~ volume, length, curve and they still look natural. You can build this mascara over and over again and it won’t go clumpy. I couldn’t recommend this enough, in fact I have a backup for when my current one runs out! I have a blog post all about this must have mascara.
