As of this weekend, I am away on a Hen Do and I’m pretty damn excited. My first hen do ever, and my first time planning it with the other bridesmaids. *I can’t go into it too much as the Bride to be may possible see this!!* But anyway, we have two nights away and I’m an early packer as it is and make up is my main priority. Got to make sure I remember everything.

Because we are going away for two nights, I want my make up to look the best the Saturday night. So I’m thinking of changing up the eye make up to make it more dramatic.

For my base I am going to be using the Touch In Sol Make Up Boomer for a more luminous/dewy make up look. But I’m also using the NYX Pore Filler Primer for my oily section, as this minimises your pores and also keeps any oiliness at bay. Then moving onto foundation – I have The Ordinary Serum Foundation as this leaves my skin with a flawless finish and I’d personally say it’s a medium to full coverage foundation and I need that on long evenings out. It’s long lasting on the skin which is my main priority. For conceal and highlight I am using my one and only Collection Love Lasting Perfection concealer. I use this to hide any spots/blemishes and also to highlight under my eyes, jawline, nose and forehead. I use this in the shade Fair, but yes I want my hands on the newest Fair concealer.

To contour I am using the Rimmel London Insta Duo Contour Stick which is creamy based, and I’m totally obsessed. It easily blends into the skin and gives a natural defined look to my face. Then to add a more bronzed look (of course) I use the Benefit Hoola which is super blendable and also buildable. Then moving onto Blush it’s the pretty Milani, which is light, subtle shade which is my go to for every look. I don’t like anything over powering.

Now for my eyes, for shadow it’s the Huda Beauty Smokey Eye palette for the evenings. You’ve got a palette mainly full of shimmers and shimmers is what I need for a hen do weekend. Glam and sparkle. The palette is super pigmented/blendable and also make a statement to any make up look. I’m also even taking the Touch In Sol Metallist Shimmer & Foils. They’re overly pigmented, but in a good way believe me. If you want to see the swatches then click here. For the day time I will be using the Glossier Lidstars in the two shades Slip and Cub which are a lot more subtle, but also add a pop of colour to my skin. (I think I’ll need it with any hangovers too!) Moving onto my lashes I’ll be using the Maybelline Sensational Mascara. It gives all the factors you need – volume. length, and the gorgeous curl to make your lashes look full.

Then of course it’s the brows. The most important to any make up look. I stand by the L’Oreal Paradise Pomade, it’s the perfect shade for my brows and it’s really easy to apply to your brows and you can create a real defined look. It’s a matte formula which glides onto your brows. I use either the brush that comes along with the product, or sometimes a brow brush. (GWA brushes are amazing!) To set my brows and give them that even more defined look, I just brush through the Glossier Boy Brow which is a must have to a lot of beauty bloggers. (It’s their most popular product!) It’s amazing, it keeps your brows in place all day/evening. To finish off my brows I like to use the Maybelline Brow Precise to give more of a defined shape to my brows and hide any stray hairs that I may have missed.

Lastly, the lips. I have two to choose from. I have the Huda Beauty Liquid Lipstick in the shade Venus which is a dark nude. It’s long lasting, easy to apply and you can build it up. Reapplying is no problem what so ever, and it doesn’t dry out your lips. Then I also have a Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Liquid Lipstick in the shade Best Actress. It’s the another nude but a lot lighter. They’re super creamy and also long lasting, it’s really flattering on the lips and also doesn’t make you look washed out.

This is my first ever Hen do  – let alone planning one! I’ve never been so excited for something before.

Have you been to a hen do or organised one?! Where did you go and what did you do?!

Huda Venus looks incredible, such a pretty shade. I feel like I wouldn’t like the lidstars though – I prefer more pigment 🙂
