Hello you little beauties.
I’m that type of girl that always spends and spends when it comes to high street beauty. I always feel it’s totally necessary to treat myself every time I step my foot into Boots/Superdrug/John Lewis/Lush and so on. But when it comes to high end beauty, I’m more of the type that goes to the counters.. feels intimidated and just looks and walks away.
I don’t know what it is. I just find that you’re more pressured than walking into Boots and just scanning the isles of make up and skin care. I recently went into Beauty Bazzar in Liverpool and I made a tweet about how you feel intimated going into higher end store, to purchase something or even just look! So many of you agreed with me! It was amazing, I’m just so glad I didn’t stand alone on that opinion.
Anyhow, when it comes to spending out a little more on make up/skin care I always like to do my research and make sure it’s something I really want. You know, if you can’t stop thinking of something after not purchasing it – you know you want it. Possible *need* it.
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette | An easy everyday staple within your make up routine. You have a eight shimmer shades and four matte shades. You have a mixture of browns/bronze/gold shades, and of course a black too for that smokey eye look. My favourite shade is Chopper which is a gorgeous dark bronze shade with touches of rose gold in the light. The shades blend really well, and don’t leave much fall out when applying onto your eyes. I own this palette as well as the naked heat palette, and i want the whole collection as these palettes do not disappoint.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara | This has been my go to mascara for such a long time, in fact I’m about to hit my second. This mascara is volumising and really gives length to my lashes. It’s also clump free which is always a must when looking for a new mascara. However you can read more about this mascara over on my Must Have Mascara post.
Born This Way Setting Powder | This has been my go to since forever over on TaylorJane. I will not stop crediting Too Faced for this powder as it’s amazing. It leaves my skin looking flawless, it doesn’t go cakey at all. It leaves a matte finish, and is super light weight on the skin. It really brightens my skin, and it also keeps every bit of make up in place. It gives my contour a natural cover and keeps my oily t zone at bay.
Estèe Lauder Modern Muse | A gorgeous floral scent with sleek, sensual woods. This fragrance is a mini but do I need the full sized version? Hell yes. It’s a long lasting fragrance but not too over powering. I think it’s a very sophisticated scent and fresh. I think finding a fragrance which sits on the skin for a long time is so important. I’ve tested other fragrances in the past and this has to be one of my favourite finds.
Huda Beauty Warm Obsessions Palette | When these palettes hit Huda Beauty, I not only got one ~ I got two. Along with the Warm Obsessions, I also got the Smokey palette. This palette is more set on saturated mattes, along with one golden shimmer shade. Altogether you get nine shades, and they’re all good sized. Mainly focusing on the browns and copper shades which are perfect for everyday use. I was pretty disappointed with the size of these palettes when I first purchased them, however they’re amazing for travelling and on the go.
