Hello you little beauties.
When it comes to my evening routine, I pretty much have one. I like to have everything ready ~ bath, hair mask(if i’m washing my hair), skincare/remove make up, phone on charge, bedside light on, pillow spray at the ready, a drink for emergency dehydration, and also my evening night cream.
I think having a routine can really set your mind and body ready to drift off within a certain amount of time. A good book is always a good way to switch off as you’re phone keeps your brain working and it doesn’t want to nod off. I know we all secretly do sit there and look on our phones before going to sleep, but I always put my phone on aeroplane mode after a certain time to drift off.
I am currently obsessed with This Works Deep Pillow Spray at the moment. I was gifted this at Christmas and ever since, I’ve used it continuously. I have had evenings without the spray to see if it really works, and I seriously believe it does. This is meant to reduce sleep anxiety and also improve your sleep. I’ve found that I don’t drift off quite as quickly as normal, but I do wake up feeling massively refreshed. I wake up and feel like I’ve had the best night sleep ever, as in a deep sleep. I normally toss and turn repeatedly in my sleep, however I’ve noticed I’m not doing so or it’s not waking me up throughout my sleep. My partner has also used this and have found that he’s slept really well.
My other bedside favourite is the Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream which I wanted for so long, as a night cream isn’t within my skincare routine. It’s a non greasy formula and oil free. Of course it is enriched with seaweed, but also collagen and hyaluronic acid which softens, hydrates and nourishes the skin without clogging up your pores. I’ve been also using this continuously since Christmas and my skin is looking a hell lot more hydrated and super soft. I have combination skin – normal everywhere apart from my t zone, which is oily. An added bonus – it doesn’t smell of seaweed I don’t think personally but whatever the scent is it is’t strong what so ever!
I cannot go to bed without these two, but I’ve seen Mario Badescu have a few more night creams I need to get through!
What’s your number ones for bedtime?
