Hello you little beauties.
Some of you might be here because I did a massive announcement on Instagram about how bloody obsessed I am with this StylPro brush cleaner, or you might be here because you want to find out too. So here it is..
So this is the Rose Gold Stylpro Make Up Brush Cleaner, which I received for Christmas which I was super pleased about. I’ve been wanting to try this out for such a long time as I haven’t seen much about it, but what I had seen – it was amazing.
( You can also pick this up for £10 less with the original make up brush cleaner by Stylpro.)
The product details as said by Boots website is : Instead of waiting up to 24 hours of washing then waiting for your brushes to dry, this cleans and dries your make up brushes in seconds. Leaving your brushes clean and ready to reuse straight away. It’s five main points are :
Washes and dries make up brushes in under 30 seconds.
Integrated spindle and new on/off switch.
Works with both synthetic and natural hair brushes
Unbreakable Tritan bowl.
8 Flexible silicone collars.
So here’s what my verdict is..
The combination of brushes I used was Girls With Attitude ~ Nude By Nature ~ Real Techniques.
Instead of using the cleanser that comes with the brush cleaner, I decided to use Baby Shampoo as I’ve always done so when washing my make up brushes. I used the Baby Shampoo as well, because I was worried that the cleanser would be a little over priced ~ 150ml : £9.00 and 500ml : £24.99 on Boots website. You only need to add a little bit of water – I chose Luke warm water, and also a small bit of ‘cleaning product’ as it froths up where the brushes spin around in the liquid.
I cleaned my eye shadow brushes first which took around 15 seconds to clean and another 15 seconds to dry. F I F T H T E E N seconds. Then for a large brush (contour/bronze/powder) it took around 40/60 seconds to dry. Just one M I N U T E. It said on the instructions to empty the water every time for a new brush, however where it’s only myself using these brushes I was happy to do 3/4 brushes at a time as they weren’t overly clogged up.
So I would find the correct silicone collar for each brush, which you get 8 different sizes to choose from. You want the brush to be tightly fitted, otherwise the brush will just whip out and make mess. I then would add the brush into the water and turn the Stylpro on, it vibrates and spins around to get all of the dirt and make up out of the bristles. You then just lift it slightly out of the water, but below the collar to dry the brush and within a minute max. Your brush is clean.
The product is battery powdered, and I’m not overly sure how many uses you can get out of it. The bowl itself is able to go in the dishwasher, which is amazing – so no need to hand wash.
It didn’t clean my brushes within 10 seconds, but a minute I’m still overly happy with as it normally takes me an hour to clean my brushes and then a whole day for them to dry. I had 22 brushes altogether, 6 medium/large brushes and the rest eye shadow/concealer brushes.
I’d recommend this to everyone who has a numerous amount of brushes to clean, and it saves so much time. I cannot wait to continue to use this in the future, as I will have a lot more time playing with make up than washing the things.
