Hello you little gems.
It’s 10 days away from Christmas, and just 12 until my birthday.
(Just an important reminder for you all.)
I have put together some of my favourite finds of 2017, I could have added so much more but these five are some of everyday favourites.
I will for sure be repurchasing again in 2018..
From eyeshadows to face powders to brow products, I’ve got you covered.
Huda Beauty Obsessions Smokey Palette | This palette is pretty new to the Huda Beauty Collection, along with Electric, Mauve and Warm Browns mini palettes. I purchased this Smokey Palette along with the Warm Browns, and Smokey is my total favourite. You have a mixture of four mattes and five shimmers, and the shimmers are what stand out to me most within this palette. You have the darkest black, warm shades of brown, taupe, champagne, gold, silver and even rose gold. This palette allows you to create a different number of looks, however – of course, Smokey eye is a total must. They blend out super well even the darkest of shades, the shimmers are creamy and apply so highly pigmented. Along with the mattes being velvet and are full of pigmentation too.
Kiko Water Eyeshadow | This is in the shade 201 Rosy Taupe, and I also have another three of these : 200 Champagne, 209 Olive Green and 234 Copper. So why do I love these so much you may be wondering? These are super super pigmented, a lot of the lighter shimmery shades you could also use as highlighter! You can either use these wet or dry, I use these dry as the pigmented is amazing as it is. They’re super soft and creamy when applying to your lids, and blend out so well. These are my favourite single eyeshadows, and for around £8 each they’re super affordable.
Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder | This has been my favourite setting powder to date. I like to use this for the use of ‘baking’. So I conceal/highlight in the areas of – under my eyes, between my brows, my jawline and my laughing creases. I then go over these areas with this setting powder to allow it to lock in the conceal and highlight my face. It’s super lightweight on the skin and doesn’t go cakey at all. It sets nicely on the skin and gives a flawless matte finish. It’s a perfect powder for oily/combination skin.
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte | This is in the shade Venus, and it’s my go-to shade. This liquid matte started my obsession and love for Huda Beauty, which I now have another eight minis to go along with this one. These liquid mattes sit comfortably on the lips, and are so long lasting. You need to just glide on the product quite thin to get a gorgeous matte lip. You can build up the product on the lips and it doesn’t go flakey at all, you can reapply the product hours later and it still goes on as smoothly as it did the first time round. It’s so lightweight you totally forget that you have anything on your lips. I couldn’t recommend this enough, for it also being the perfect nude everyday shade.
Glossier Boy Brow | I had to leave the best till last. This is my favourite brow product ever, and it’s pretty popular from the Glossier collection. So this has a few purposes considering it’s just one product, it fills the brows, thickens the hairs and also shapes. You have four different shades – a black, brown, blonde and also a clear just to keep the hold of your brows without the pigment. If I’m going for a full face of make up, I’d use my Loreal Brow Pomade first and then go over with the Boy Brow to just hold the brows in place. However, when I’m going more natural I’d just use this Boy Brow alone. It comes in a tube, very similar wand to a mascara but a whole lot smaller. You just brush the product through your brows to complete your look.
That’s all of my top five make up favourites from 2017. I highly recommend all of these, and once again all of these products are my go to’s for an everyday make up look. I’ve used these products an numerous amount of times, so I’ve repeatedly tried and tested for months.
What’s your top five favourites from 2017 that’s going full speed ahead through to 2018?!
