6 Single Shadows I’m Currently Loving

When it comes to eye shadows, it’s always an easy option picking up a palette and using the shadows within that palette.

I always forget about my single shadows, and that’s why I’ve recently been reaching for them over the palettes.

I have a mixture of old and new, and these I am currently loving for the fact Autumn is coming, the darker shades come out and so does the shimmer of bronzed/gold shades.

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow Shade – Vega | They don’t seem to sell this on their website anymore, I can’t find it at all actually. However, this is a shade you can easily find one similar over on their website. It’s a gorgeous gold/bronzed shimmer shade, and the pigmentation is just amazing. I love this to use over the shadow already applied, in the inner corners. It just opens your eyes that little more, having a  lighter shade in the inner corners is a must when it comes to eye shadow.

Bobbi Brown Metallic Eye Shadow Shade – Gold Dust | This is another shade which you won’t find anymore on their website. However, it’s another gorgeous shimmer shade but a lot lighter. I’d say this has more a pearly shade to it, it’s a lot lighter than Vega. The pigmentation once again is unreal, just one swatch and it’s *boom* in your face. My Mum actually passed this down to me, along with another shade and ever since I’ve been telling myself I need to get some more. Any shade recommendations?

No7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Shade – Moroccan Sands | This is a copper type of shade. I love copper shades when it comes to Autumn. I mean, who doesn’t? It’s the perfect go to shade, and I bet you it will be this year. Everyone is already raving how amazing the UD Naked Heat palette is perfect for Autumn, and this shade might as well basically slide in the palette too. It has a gorgeous shimmer to it, so the colour pops that little bit more than it already does.

No7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Shade – Turquoise Shine | This doesn’t scream Autumn what so ever, no – but whenever I fancy a little colour, this is my baby. It’s like a gorgeous sea blue, you know the sea colour you see in the Thomson Catalogs – not the sea here in England. I actually use with along with Moroccan Sands. I use Moroccan Sands on the lids, and Turquoise Shine under my water line. Honestly these two colours, make your eye colour just P O P. I actually first saw Steph from MIC wear this combo a lot, and trust me – it’s the perfect combo.

Kiko Water Eye Shadow Shade – 235 | This is the perfect metallic copper/bronze shade. It’s got a creamy texture, and they are so long lasting. I am just waiting to add the whole collection to my make up. This is another shade that just needs to slide into the UD Naked palette. Seriously, the pigmentation is insane. They just glide onto your lid, and look fricking incredible.

Kiko Water Eye Shadow Shade – 209 | This shade is my absolute favourite out of the six. A gorgeous khaki. They describe this as an Olive type of green, but it’s defo Khaki type of shade. So shut up Kiko, make the shade sound incredible. Everyone loves khaki in the Autumn/Winter. Everything is the same as above, super creamy and super pigmented and long lasting. What more could you want from a single eye shadow which costs under £10? It covers everything.

What’s your favourite go-to eye shadows at the moment? Or your favourite brand.

I definitely reach for palettes more than single shadows which is a shame, as there are so many stunning single colours! I really need to try Kiko, as they sound so good xx

I don't often buy single shadows, I tend to buy palettes and even then I don't use them often. I might have to up my game and get into single shadows because there are some cute colours.

I very rarely buy single eyeshadows anymore, I always sway more towards palettes, even though I end up not using half of the shades! I love the look of the No7 eyeshadows, my mum swears by them! xx
