Happy holidays! I’m off on holiday tomorrow and I am soooooo frrrreeeeaaaking excited. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I haven’t stopped yapping on about it. Sneaking it into my captions and stories. So if you want to see me on my travels then head over to my Instagram now and see what I get up to.
We’re going back to Gran Canaria where we’ve been before. We absolutely loved it there, and we cannot wait to go back as they’ve recently had a little refurb! I’ve never been back to the same hotel before, so it’ll be interesting to see if we love it as much as the first time round.
When it comes to packing for holiday, just like anyone WE ALWAYS OVER PACK. I mean I over pack everything, especially underwear. I like to have like 14 pants when I’m only going for a week. Lol. Talk about being couscous.
So as you can probably guess, I’m the exact same for my make up. However, this isn’t all of it as I wrote this back in July to be a little prepared but these bits I’m taking!
Loreal Infallible Mattifying Base
I love a matte face look. However, I do want to get my hands on the Charlotte Tilbury primer too which is meant to be a goody for a dewy look for a little change. But, this Loreal Primer is one of my favourites. It’s more like an oily base but not in a bad way what so ever. It’s not like creamy, like some primers are. It really pro-longs your foundation, and gives it the perfect base to start on with your make up. I cannot fault this what so ever, plus it makes your make up just glide on with good coverage. And when I use the terms ‘glide on’ – I mean it stays on.
Loreal Cushion Foundation
I love this foundation. It’s a medium coverage, really light and I think quite natural looking. I use the applicator/sponge that comes with the foundation and then blend in with a beauty sponge. For this, I’ll be using my new Eco Tools sponges. (Of course, RT you’ll be coming too because your my number ones.) I like to plaster my make up on like anyone else on holiday, but it’s always nice for your skin to look natural at the same time.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Like everyone now, this is my favourite concealer and has been for a long time. It’s cheap, affordable and gives really good coverage. This is forever popping up on my Instagram and blog.
Maybelline Master Sculpt
I either use this as a contour or a bronzer. It’s easily one of the best I’ve used for blending into the rest of your make up. It gives my skin the perfect colour to my face and I’m forever repurchasing it!
Rimmel London Duo Contour Stick
This is a newbie of mine, I usually reach out for the Nip & Fab contouring palette. However, this one is a lot more natural looking. You can build up the contour a lot easier and I use a beauty blender to blend the contouring in. I’d only use this though for more of an ‘out there’ look along with the Maybelline Master Sculpt.
This blusher I haven’t given my all to it. It’s more of a subtle type of blush, but that’s what type girl I am when it comes to blusher. Plus, it’s so so pretty – I just lavvvvvv it. It’s the perfect rose/pastel type of shade.
Mac Soft & Gentle Highlighter
Come on, who doesn’t have this? This was the first highlighter product I purchased. It’s always a reach out for me, probably my most used highlighter. It gives your skin that natural looking glow, and it’s buildable.
Nars Loaded Palette
This is one of my favourite purchases ever. (This was purchased before Nars announced they were going to be selling in China.) The shades are totally gorgeous, and they are the perfect shades for a holiday make up look. You’ve got the shimmers as well as the mattes, they’re so blendable and they build up really well. You’ve got the transition shades as well as the crease shades & smokey eyes.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
This is a new purchase of mine. I love it too, with or without any other make up. It volumes my lashes, and it suddenly looks like they’ve tripled in length. It keeps the lashes separated, so there’s so chunkiness from it.
The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit
This has been my forever favourite brow product. I’ve tried others, but this one always wins. As you can see I always go for the darker shade, it’s a shame they don’t do them singly because I rarely use the lighter shade. It’s so easy to apply to your brows, and you can control how much goes onto the hairs. It’s easy to shape the brows using the little applicator where it’s got a slanted tip for the outer hairs.
Huda Beauty Venus
Of course this little gem is coming along with me. It’s my trusty nude matte lip liquid. It applies easily on the lips, and you can control how much product goes where quite easily. I reach out for this most out of all my matte lip liquids, it doesn’t go all bitty – it stays on really well and easy whilst eating/drinking. You may have to top this up after a certain amount of time, but it glides on the lips easily again without any patching.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick
I have to take a lipstick with me, when I cannot be bothered with the old worrying about my lip liquid on my lips. I’m always safe with my lip liquids, but I just get so paranoid. You know when you’re out and you feel like your lips might look dodgy, but once you look – they’re totally fine! Looks like you’ve just applied it. I’m forever worrying, so this is for when I’m feeling lazy with my make up. We always have them days on holiday when the sun just takes your energy right out of ya. The perfect nude shade again.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
I want to take this lip liquid with me for a little bit of colour. Maybe for an evening when I’ve gone more natural with my shades on my eyes, I’ll get this little baby out. It’s not like a hot pink, it’s more of a solid Barbie pink.. maybe a little pinker. Lol. I really like how well these apply, and how long lasting they are. These are one of my favourites for lip liquids, along with Huda Beauty.
What would be included in your make up bag for a summer holiday?
