I’ve been spending, spending what I shouldn’t be spending but yep I’m guilty as.
Some products I’ve tried once or not at all and some I’ve been repeatedly using.
I’m more of a drugstore/highstreet sort of beauty buyer as you can see.
I do like to splurge onto pricier products but you can never feel guilty with high street!
Lets start with the products I haven’t tried..
Elf Cosmetics Necessary Nudes Palette
Aren’t these just the perfect nudes/browns for any day make up look? That’s what I thought when I picked this up in my local Superdrug store. I saw it, and I thought *yeah I’ll have that, that’ll be used at some stage*. In fact, I haven’t even picked it up since I brought it, which was a few weeks ago. They are so pigmented for how much they cost. These would be the perfect palettes for any beginners to eye shadow, wanting to create smokey eyes. It comes along with a thin bit of plastic which is a cover for the shadows. It tells you which shades are for the base, liner, crease and etc. The palette for sculpting your lids and defining.
Collection Lasting Perfect Powder
I haven’t used this one as of yet, but I have used a whole other up *nearly*. It’s holding on for dear life on the edge of the compact. If you’re like me and prefer a matte look, then this would be perfect for you as it does just that. It sets all your make up into place and lasts all day. I’ve never ever had a problem with this product and I think for just under five pounds, you cannot go wrong what so ever. It’s one of the best powders I’ve ever used. However I like to use this once I’ve done every base of make up, accept blusher. I feel like it calms down any harsh lines with contouring/bronzer and really acts like a buffing eye shadow brush, it really blends everything in. *Best way to describe it!*
The products I’ve used a few times..
Collection Glam Crystals Gel Eyeliner
I’ve actually picked this up in two colours. Glitz 1 & Funk 3. Oh, what adventurous names they are. I am absolutely loving these at the moment. They’re being added into every make up look I create over on my Instagram at the moment! I love adding this along with my black liner, it really gives it that glam look. The applicator isn’t the best but it stills give a good line, just have to give it a few times.
Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24H Cream Gel Eyeshadow
What a mouthful that is for naming the product. I’ve been visiting Boots on a regular occurrence lately and have eyed this up so many times. It’s like a shimmery baby pink shade, which I think would work amazing as a liner too. However, I’ve just learnt something new – you use it with your finger to pat it onto the lid .. WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE!? I’ll let yo know on my Instagram how I get on!
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
The bloggers made me buy this. I’ve never been one to experiment with foundations, but seriously they made me. Everyone was raving how good this and I thought sod it give it a try. Buy something other than a make up palette. So, the coverage? I’d say medium. I can’t get it to work with the NYX Angel Veil Primer which is annoying as I love it, but I’ll tell you very soon some more. However, I got this to work with the Loreal Infallible Primer. I tried looking for a Bourjois Primer but I couldn’t see it when in Boots, someone know if I’m just blind or there isn’t one? It does leave your skin with a dewy complexion, as I’m normally a sucker for a matte look it’s nice for a change.
Elf Cosmetics Contouring Clay Eyeshadow Palette in Sunsets
Exact same look to the previous one, but this one has more pinky shades inside. You have shimmers as well as mattes, and you can also create a gorgeous smokey eye look just not with such harsh shades.
Primark PS Pro Highlight Palette
You know what it’s like with Primark make up, it’s cheap and affordable and you don’t think it’s ever going to compare to the high end Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit palette. Well it doesn’t but it looks pretty damn similar to it right? The packaging is pretty basic, but for five pounds you can’t go wrong. It’s so so pigmented and I love to use on the eyes as well as highlight. It’s the perfect silver shimmer to any eye make up look.
Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation
I’ve literally been dying to get my hands on a cushion foundation. I think they’re so different and such a handy foundation to take on travels. You have the applicator inside, but it’s always nice to just quickly go over with a beauty blender – of course. Anyway, this foundation does come with a high coverage. It leaves your skin looking absolutely flawless/glowing and healthy. I’m generally in love. I didn’t even colour match myself, I just went for it and thought *that’d do, that’d do.* I am loving it, and it’s also SPF 20! Booooooooom.
What I am absolutely fricking loving..
NYX Angel Veil Primer
This little baby is becoming my favourite primer, evaaaaaaaa! It’s the perfect base and really keeps your foundation and concealer in place. It acts like a cushion to enhance your make up application. It’s a creamy base, but I really like it as my usual can seem a little oily at times. It minimises shine and leaves a matte affect.
Maybelline Sensational Mascara
This is my go to for any make up, whether it’s every day or an event. It’s literally amazing. The volume and length it brings to my lashes are insane, they generally look fake. *I hope bigging up my lashes doesn’t make me big headed. Lol.* It really does though, they are full of maximisation. The wand is curved so it really does grab all the lashes that need revealing. It doesn’t separate the lashes into chunks, it layers them to give them the volume to create layers within your lashes, so you an create the full out there look. It’s like you could take someones eyes out with them.
Shit me, were at the end.
That took a little while, but that’s everything I purchased this month.
Everything that I’m loving too.
