A R G G G G H H H H H H !
Anyone else getting stuck in this little rut? I’m constantly scrolling through and through social media. Every five minutes I’m picking my phone up and seeing what’s updated but it’s still the same photo of some girl posing in the mirror promoting for INTHESTYLE on Instagram and the same tweet is there from some girl moaning about Donald Trump. I’m currently trying to paint my nails and I’m still doing the exact same thing of picking my phone up to see if there’s an update. It’s getting fucking ridiculous and I’m actually getting so fed up. I can’t even get through one series on the TV without feeling the urge to look at my phone. It’s constantly on me, in my pocket or my hand.
It’s even worse when you’ve just
uploaded a new photo to Instagram,
and you keep revisiting this photo
to see if anyone else has
liked/commented on it but you
only uploaded it 53 seconds ago.
Honestly it can’t only be me right? I’ve become addicted to Social Media , it’s not normal being addicted to chocolate is pretty darn normal if you ask me. I feel like social media has taken over so much that I actually need to get more of a life and see the world a little more and my friends and family. It’s all good being into what you love, like blogging has social media written all over it. It’s where us bloggers promote our blog, our passion. We want everyone to see our little corner of the internet. We want everyone to notice us and see what we can do.
But why should our minds be so constant about it? These little technology screens are affecting our sleep, our brains and even our social lives – correct? I mean I’m no hater for social media but I’m seriously stuck in this rut and I can’t escape? I can for a couple of hours, but I can’t for a long period if I’m bored I’ve got my phone stuck in my hands. If I’m waiting in a queue of a shop – my phone is in my hand. If I’m walking through town alone – my phones there! We all are on our phones, you can go out with friends and your all sat there looking at your screens instead of having the good catch up you talked about having last week.
If there’s anything people can recommend. It’s good to unwind and even have a bubble bath and that ‘me’ time we all go on about, but give me something different?
What do you do to take a break?
Take that step back.
