Current situation : Sitting up in bed with Lee watching the football shizz he watches. Cinnamon spiced orange candle lit, burning away the beautiful scent. Snuggled up in my new Matalan grey dressing gown with little white hearts all over it, underneath the bed covers. Nothing could be more perfect after removing make up, cleansing my skin as well as moisturizing and using toner. What do you use to look after your skin? Here’s mine..
Everyone always blabbers on about how you’ve really got to take care of your skin. You don’t have to have the most expensive range of skin care products, to show that you do take care of it. I mean, you should take care of it and special care when it comes to the colder months of the year. However, everyone suits different things. I don’t exfoliate every week, I do it here and there. I don’t moisturize every single day, I do it once a week..maybe? I don’t cleanse my skin every evening before bed, I do it every few days. That doesn’t mean I’m not taking care of my skin, I am but just not day to day.
I use Simple/Garnier skin care products and sometimes body shop.
Nothing too expensive, as I don’t like to waste my money on things that I don’t necessarily need. I’ve been extremely lucky with my skin. I only ever get spots when I’m on my period or run down, everyone always says my skin is so soft and clear. I always get asked why that is, and my only answer is – f*** knows?! I’m pretty lucky I guess? I generally never used any skin care products on any part of my body, until two/three years ago? I just removed my make up by using wipes. My skin is pretty sensitive, that’s the only down side. Simple wipes are the only wipes I can use on my skin. Although, I read somewhere that the wipes ONLY take off the FIRST layer of your make up. SAYYY WHAT?! That’s gross, right? So for all them years I thought wipes did the job, I was totally wrong. It’s annoying having sensitive skin, as Simple wipes don’t come cheap often.
I need to start taking more care of my skin, specially my face. I want nice skin when I’m older, just like my Mum actually – she’s got amazing skin. So here’s the start to my new obsession – skin care products and the end to my future spending my pennies.
I haven’t experienced much with skin care products but would love to try out some more, any recommendations?
