HEY HEY HEY. IT’S FRIDAAYYYYYYY.
I wish it was ‘friyay’ but I ain’t feeling that shit, no. It’s going to be a weekend of drinking plenty of fluids, keeping on top of medication, being lazy ass bitch, and getting the iphone 7. You?
Any how, here’s my every day make up post I wrote the other day, and had it scheduled for next week but just fancied sharing it with you guys today..
Sadly to say I’m not a massive fan of make up anymore.
I had a blog up and running before this time round, it was all about make up and I think it’s really put me off. However, I still have something for it. Well actually I love make up, just not writing about it 24/7. Although, I just thought I’d share with you guys what I use everyday when it comes to applying make up.
I’m no make up guru , so please be gentle with me..
Primer : Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer.
This is an ultra light primer, that sits on the skin comfortably and easily. It miniseries the appearance of pores and evens the skin. It mattifies the skin, without it looking over-dried. You can either wear this alone or under/over your foundation. It blends easily into the skin, considering the formula is white. It definitely makes a difference to your foundation lasting a lot longer, well fresh looking.
Foundation: Rimmel London Wake Me Up
I have used this foundation for such a long time. I’m always switching between this one and the L’oreal foundation. I am using the shade – true ivory. I think you should always go a shade darker than your skin colour. As long as you’re blending skills is on point, everyone always wants more colour to the face. I feel that this foundation instantly reawakens my skin, giving it healthy radiant glow. I would recommend this foundation, it’s long lasting and I just cannot fault it. I only swap between the two, because I fancy a change.
Concealer: Rimmel London Match Perfection
I absolutely love this concealer. It’s glides so easily onto the skin, and is so easy to blend within the foundation. Even when I use the L’oreal foundation, it’s still as easy to blend and to create that natural look. It covers them tired looking eyes, and makes you have that glow to your face. I use this under my eyes, between/above my brows, my jaw line, nose, upper lip and chin. This is a 2 in 1 concealer and highlighter that makes you look refreshed and ready for what’s ahead of you. It doesn’t crease or create any cakey texture. I pick a lighter tone than my foundation colour, two times lighter actually. You want it to create the look of a highlighter other than a concealer.
Powder: L’oreal Infallible 24H Matte Powder
This creates a mattifying look and is shine resistant. I only use this where I have applied the concealer. I find that if I apply this around my face, my bronzer doesn’t apply so well. I am using 160 sand beige. I apply this over my foundation for a flawless look. I have read up that you can apply this to your skin wet to create a liquid foundation with ‘ultimate coverage’. ( If you’ve tried this, please tell me what your thoughts are.) Anyway, this is a lightweight texture and creates that matte look finish. I’m a no go with the shiny looking face. Nahh-uhh.
Bronzer : No7 Perfectly Bronzed Dual
When I first purchased this, I wasn’t a fan. This was catargoised as a ‘disappointing product’. However, things have certainly changed. I gave this little gem more of a chance, and used it more and more and finally got a way of applying it without it looking too heavy. So if you’ve ever come across a make up product that you’ve had the same problem, then just keep trying it – properly. I would recommend this even when contouring, as it’s pretty powerful. Any how this powder has two complementary tones of powder. It has a silky vitamin-enriched formula which is easy to blend within the skin. It has a handy mirror inside too! Always handy on route somewhere.
Highlighter : Mac Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skin-finish
I kind of feel like me telling you about this is pointless, because I swear everyone owns this in their make up bag. Although, I’ll tell ya a little something. This is a little beauty, and makes your skin look flawless and alive. I love the shimmer look, and it blends onto the skin beautifully. Gives your skin a strong radiant finish.
Liner : Soap + Glory Supercat Skinny Liner
This is the only liquid liner that I have actually managed to get along with. I find liquid isn’t easy, however this one is a miracle. I love liner, and I can’t go out, out – without it. I love the tip with this liner, you can create such a natural look with the very tip making it very fine, orrrrr you can make it dramatic with the thicker part using the side of the tip. Lee actually dislikes the old ‘wing liner’ look but nah-uh honey that doesn’t stop me creating this look, and I tell ya this liner is amazing. I ain’t no wizard with creating this look but I still try and pull it off.
Lashes : Maybelline Lash Sensational Multiplying Mascara
I have literary tried every Mascara under the sun. I am a Mascara- o’holic. However, this one is currently in the league at the moment. I’ve been using this for over a month now and I’m still loving it. The wand curves in the shape of your lashes, bottom and top. It makes your lashes look multiplied, thicker and more ‘out there’. On nights out, I would literary sit there and apply, apply..APPLY. The bristles captures every little lash, you can really get into them corners you could never reach before. Volumises and defines the look of longer lashes.
Shadow : Lancome Hypnose Palette Star Eyes
I actually got this given as a christmas present, like two years ago. I saw this on the Lancome stand and loved the natural looking shades/tones. Very christmassy. If you’re not confident with the smokey eye look, then this actually comes with a demonstration on the mirror with what shades to use and where. Amazing, I know! The pigmentation is fab as well, really shows up on our eye lids, and the colours blend perfectly. I actually love this little palette. I’m going to find out whether they still sell this and purchase another one before I run out.
Not forgetting the all important ‘sisters’
not twins babies.
The Body Shop Brow + Liner Kit
Soooo much easier than any pencil I’ve ever used when growing up. This kit comes with a handy double-ended brush for the brow and liner excellence. I’ve never used this as a liner, just for my brows. It easily applies to the brow, and really grabs hold of the hair. Defines, shapes and fills the brows massively. 100% recommend this to anyone, especially if you find your brows a bit of a war when applying make up.
That’s my everyday make up. Seems like a lot now I’ve typed it out to you, but it seriously isn’t. I sometimes apply the Blusher, but I’m not a massive fan of Blusher. I’m all about that bronzed look, and looking brown. Lips – not a fan either, I only whack out the lipstick when my lips been waxed!
Can you recommend anything similar?
Or even what do you use for every day make up?
