WHERE TO STAY IN LONDON : PARK PLAZA RIVERBANK

^^ View from our room.^^

London is such a popular city. Of course it is, it's beautiful. You have all the different places to shop until you drop. You have Knightsbridge which is where Harrods & Harvey Nichols is at. You've got Oxford Street which is never ending with Selfridges, House of Fraser, and all the high-street stores. You've got Covent Garden where all the designer shops are at too. (Fab for all you make up lovers.) Not only for shopping, you've also got so many tourist things to do. I'm no tourist to London, I've been there quite a few times and I know my way around a little more. However, when I go there I'll still go out my way to do some of the 'touristy' things.

Lee and I went up to London a couple of weeks ago to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted somewhere a little over the top, as we previously stayed at The Mayfair hotel, situated in Mayfair - of course. This hotel was gorgeous and really nice, but we wanted something a little more OOT. (Over the top.) After scrolling numerous amount of times, we finally decided we were going to stay at the Park Plaza Hotel - Riverbank.
Park Plaza Riverbank is situated in Lambeth. You have a tube station just a five minute walk away, which is Vauxhall. The staff at this station were so lovely to help us out on where we had to go. If you ever stay at this hotel, you want a city view. You will look out onto the River Thames. You have the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliaments all within reach.
We decided to go for a room that looked out onto the River. Not only did we have the River to look out onto, we could see all of the three listed above. It was truly a beautiful view. I am a true believer that London is such a beautiful city, so I was over the moon with this.
You could not fault the staff either. We were approached by the car valet gentlemen at the front of house. He took care of our luggage and directed us in the right direction to checking in. You have two different desks to check in as they also do apartments, as well as hotel rooms. Once we were able to check in, the staff brought our cases up and mentioned how lucky we were for the room they had given us. You have everything you need in your room, tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, an iron & ironing board. You also had dressing gowns! You always know when you open the wardrobe and see them in there, you know you're staying in a posh hotel!

I didn't manage to get many good photos as it was a dull weekend in London - so some of these photos are they're own. Could not fault it in anyway. The bar was a little expensive, but so totally worth the view again. You need to make sure you tell the barmen or women that you want a single or double alcoholic beverage, as he just gave us a double without asking and we paid for it afterwards. Having to pay a little more, and more of a hangover in the morning. Lol.

Breakfast for the following morning? We got it in bed, but I'd have preferred to go downstairs and help ourselves as we was up early enough for it anyway. However still scrummy! Pancakes? Can't go wrong. Although, cooked breakfast - doesn't come with baked beans? I know.

That's the only fault I could tell you for this hotel! The taxi to Oxford street is around £10, so it's in all a good location.

Have you stayed here before, or anywhere else in London?
